They are not yet on the market, but may be available in the near future. See Non-invasive Blood Glucose Meters and GlucoWatch for more information. The latter instrument is reliable, but it is not likely to be on the market until early 2001. In the meantime, the FreeStyle meter is the nearest device to non-invasive and is essentially painless.
