Question from St. Louis, Missouri, USA:
My 18 year old daughter who has poorly controlled type 1 diabetes (hemoglobin A1c: 11.2 – 12.0 % for the past year) wants to get fake fingernails done in a salon, and I am wondering if she should do this. I know they use glue to put them on, and it seems like it could cause a fungus infection.
