Question from New Jersey, USA:

My son’s kindergarten school nurse had told us that my son cannot take his glucose testing kit inside his classroom. Is this right?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

In my opinion, no, but there is no law that says glucose testing equipment needs to be allowed in the classroom. The school does have to provide for blood glucose testing, however. I would seek further help from your son’s diabetes team and your local American Diabetes Association affiliate.
