Question from Salem, Oregon, USA:

The last time anyone posted an answer about the glucometer watch was over a year ago. Do you have any more information about it? It sounds wonderful, but is it accurate enough to rely on it during sleep?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

The GlucoWatch II is indeed as accurate as any other home blood glucose monitor and has a real role where there is a concern for nocturnal hypoglycemia as well as in other situations where there is a special need to monitor change such as during an illness or with a major change in regimen. However, it is a somewhat cumbersome device to use with its two hour equilibration period, and it is expensive. The GlucoWatch III will be significantly smaller.
