Question from India:
Which minerals and vitamins should be taken routinely to provide benefits and help prevent related complications?
It turns out that a large percentage of the American population is deficient in vitamin D. Vitamin D deficiency may have a role in insulin resistance. This may also be the case in India. If people really want to take a supplement, I would recommend a multivitamin. Women should take 1000 mg elemental calcium per day. There are no routine recommendations for anti-oxidant therapies at this time.
