I was diagnosed at age eight with no technology for T1D and not realizing carbohydrates were what was to be monitored. I had no control during my teens and twenties but received my first insulin pump in 2004 at age 31. Have since upgraded to a Dexcom G6 CGM and Omnipod 5 tubeless insulin pump. Best invention and treatment option for me to successfully manage this disease.
