Bethany Janssen
I was diagnosed with diabetes when I was nine years old. I was told at diagnosis sports would be hard to manage with diabetes. I went on to play high school sports and was offered a scholarship to participate in college sports. I did five throwing events for my track and field college team Iowa Western. I haven’t let diabetes hold me back. I’m now a wife, mom, and preschool teacher.
