I remember the day my mother had taken me to the doctor for the diagnosis. I had not been feeling well, thirsty, urinating, and vomiting. I ended up in the hospital for a week or so 1970 during Halloween, I was seven years old. It was a scary time for me and my parent’s. I remember testing my urine, so many drops of urine and I think so may drops of water in a test tube and you drop a tablet in and it turned color. My mother use to weigh and measure every thing I ate. It was a tough time for me back then. I took one shot in the morning. And most of my childhood I didn’t feel well in the morning and missed a lot of school. I wasn’t until my teens when I changed doctors and he put me on a shot before bed, and that seem to do the trick. I am so happy that the kids nowadays have all the new advances and a chance they will see a cure.
