My diabetes journey has not been an easy one. It has been a struggle to find a balance between physical and mental health. Through all of the struggles, I’ve never given up and I am so grateful for the technological advances that make my life that much easier. I am also so lucky to have a fiancé that takes the time to understand my struggles and needs. We met online and even before our first date he made sure that he always had sugary snacks in his home and on him in case I ever needed them. I feel so lucky to live the life that I do with type 1 diabetes.
