Cassidy
From her mom, Catina:
Cassidy was diagnosed when she was eight years old. She has never let being a T1D keep her from doing what she wants. She is on the a honour roll in her junior year of high school. She is on the high schools golf team and in Decca, so far for all three years of high school. She is 16 now and takes full responsibility for her diabetes care needs. It’s been a long journey, very stressful, but she manages it very well. To date, no hospitalisations and no issues. Knock on wood. When she was in third grade she had a little seminar for her class to teach them about having diabetes. She made posters and it was a hands-on learning experience. she taught them the signs to look for and how to help. We love her very much.
