I was 30 years old when diagnosed with type 1, and when my world completely changed. And I remember that day like it was yesterday. The hardest part of all this was when my middle daughter (she was nine at the time) was diagnosed a type 1. I’d give anything and everything to be able to take this burden off her shoulders. She’s now 31 and doing much better with her diabetes, but it’s been a long hard road.
