From her husband, Frederick:
All “Liz” ever wanted was to have a family in spite of her brittle diabetes. When I proposed, she made me talk to her endocrinologist who said we could expect her to live into her sixties. We had our first child in 1980 in Tennessee and second one in 1983; both healthy boys. She went on to have a career in automotive in her 50s and 60s. Challenging everyday but we accept the journey together.
