Greg Spartz

From Britaney, Greg’s wife:

My husband was diagnosed with T1D at the age of four. While he grew up not wanting anyone to know he had diabetes and avoided discussing it at all costs, we had a daughter diagnosed at the age of three (almost five years ago) and all of that had to change. I have seen so much change in him and how he handles his diabetes. He knows, even more now, that little eyes are watching him and the way he carries himself regarding his diabetes management. He approaches diabetes with so much more grace and has been such a great support system for our girl. She looks to him for guidance and compassion when she’s having a hard day and he delivers every time. Has all the right words and carries diabetes well. He lets the hard days suck, but quick to turn it around and make the next one better. His story is admirable and he deserves to be recognized for his hard work and willingness to be better for himself and those that he loves.
