Jason was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 14 months old. On top of other medical needs and trisomy 21, Jason has grown up only knowing his diabetes. At 10 years old he is just now understanding his diabetic needs and how they differ from his peers. Jason helped a fellow peer who also has trisomy 21 when she was diagnosed with type 1 a year ago. He showed her his insulin pump and Dexcom and how to be brave.
