Konnor

From his mom, Lacy:

Konnor was diagnosed right after we moved to a brand new town. May 5th, 2013 will forever be the day that changed our lives. He was four at the time. After we moved to the new state we started noticing signs. We thought he just had the flu at first. Yet they progressed, drinking tons of water, going to the bathroom constantly. He woke up one night delirious screaming in stomach and head pain. So to the emergency room we went. Blood sugar upon arrival was 548. We then were transferred to the children’s hospital, where we stayed for five days. Arkansas Children’s Hospital was absolutely amazing in our training and the care they provided for our son. It’s been a long road and it isn’t over yet. He’s been my hero throughout his diagnosis. We are so proud of him.
