Lorelei Bodi
I was diagnosed T1 at the age of 15, just weeks prior to the death of my mother. It was a rough age to adapt to this change on my own because my father didn’t understand. I rebelled a lot and it was many years until I decided to pay attention and take care of myself. I had to take multiple shots for many years until I was fortunate to start the Medtronic pump. After many years of failing and frustration, I believe I now have my diabetes fairly stable with the most recent A1C roughly 6.5. Throughout my 36 years of being T1, I have managed to live a close to normal life and I have 2 healthy adult children. I am now on O5 and Dexcom. Things have come so far!
