Marty Baker
I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when I was eight years old. Treatment has came a long way since 1973. I believe I started out taking insulin made from pigs. I took up to four shots a day. Now I have a pump and stick myself every three days. Diabetes has taken a toll on my body with eye surgery, open heart surgery, and other health problems. But am still blessed to have my eyesight and alive and well.
