Mr. Max Hurdle
Max lived courageously for 78 years with type 1 diabetes. He shared many poignant recollections of different insulin types, experiences from sharpening needles to pens and pumps, finger sticks to continuous glucose monitoring. He saw it all and forged ahead. His diagnosis lead him to becoming a pharmacist. He practiced for over 50 years. The most memorable story he shared was hearing the physician tell his mother that he probably wouldn’t live to the age of 40. Max proved him wrong and is an inspiration to all who live courageously one day at a time.
