Randall Windsor, Sr
I truly feel that I am am miracle. I was diagnosed at age 11 with type 1. I had a very good doctor and a very caring and understanding mother. After all of these years and in spite of multiple injuries due to accidents beyond my control, I am still living without any issues regarding Peripheral Neuropathy and my eyes appear as though I do not have diabetes. I do have issues with ED. By the time I went onto an insulin pump, My wife and I calculated that I have given myself over 36,000 injections (give or take a few).
Over the years I have had many very good doctors and a few that left much to be desired. I feel it is important that doctors teach how and why diabetes works to their patients. This will help them understand how to treat themselves unless something isn’t working correctly. I have recently been diagnosed with Proximal Neuropathy with pain in my hips and legs. I am working through those issues and plan to be here for my 75 year award.
