I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of seven. My father was a Doctor at Johns Hopkins (Torrey C. Brown, MD). At the age of 10, I started on an insulin pump at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Probably one of the first persons in America. Traveling through life with this disease isn’t easy. As my father would always say. “Do the best you can.”
