Crispy Chickpea Snack

- 1 can Chickpeas / garbonzo beans (15.5oz)
- Oil for tossing / spraying
Preheat oven to 350°F
Drain the canned chickpeas and dry them off asbest as possible
In a medium bowl, toss the chickpeas in some oil
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper andspread the chickpeas on top
Bake for 25minutes
Take out the baking sheet and sprinkle ½ of the seasonings on the chickpeas, while shaking them around. See notes on seasonings.
Bake for about 10 minutes, until the chickpeas are brown and crunchy
Toss chickpeas in a bowl with the remaining seasonings
Enjoy this crispy snack!
You can use any seasoning you like. Here are some suggestions:
Cinnamon Sugar
1 Tbsp Sugar
½ tsp Cinnamon
22g carbs per 1/2 cup
Ranch Dressing
1 Tbsp Ranch Dressing Packet
18g carbs per 1/2 cup
BBQ
1 ½ tsp Paprika
1 tsp Brown Sugar
½ tsp Celery Salt
½ tsp Garlic Powder
½ tsp Dry Mustard
¼ tsp Black Pepper
20g carbs per 1/2 cup
Chili Lime
1 tsp Chili Powder
½ tsp Cumin
½ tsp Salt
¼ tsp Garlic Powder
½ tsp True Lime (~1.5 packets)
19g carbs per 1/2 cup
Air Fryer Instructions
- Drain the canned chickpeas and place them in air fryer basket.
- Set temperature to 390F and timer to 17 minutes.
- After 5 minutes, open basket and spray chickpeas with oil while shaking basket.
- Close and continue air frying, shaking basket every 5 minutes.
- With 2 minutes left, open basket and sprinkle ½ the seasonings on the chickpeas. Close and
- continue air frying.
- Empty basket into a bowl, sprinkle the remaining seasonings on the chickpeas. Stir to combine.
- Enjoy this crispy snack!
