Question from Peru:
Does drinking soft drinks affect healthy people? Can it cause diabetes?
Answer:
From: DTeam Staff
We do not think they are a problem if used in moderation. However, those who “sip” sugar-sweetened soft drinks throughout the day often have more cavities since the sugar surrounds the teeth for a prolonged period of time. Those who are overweight should not have the extra calories of the sugar, but it will not bring on the diabetes. The excess weight, though, can be one of several contributing factors.
