A recent article in a local newspaper linked diabetes with the effects of heat and humidity. Is this a valid concern for Juvenile Diabetics — especially in the South? School began in early August, we have concerns with outdoor physical education classes. The article discussed the diabetic’s body not being able to tolerate or regulate extreme heat. Please help educate us on this matter.
