Question from New York, USA:

I am 15 years old, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes five months ago, and I have been smoking marijuana at mealtime (that way I can eat afterward) for about three months, and when I smoke, I get great pains in my chest area and it’s hard to talk. Is this because of the diabetes?

It’s not the diabetes — you are likely having bronchospasm or an allergic reaction. I won’t preach, but it should be a warning. You might have a really bad reaction.
