From: DTeam Staff
Many endocrinologists recommend testing for thyroid abnormalities in people with type1 diabetes every one to two years even if they have no symptoms.
Symptoms of underactive thyroid include fatigue, weight gain, constipation, hair loss, intolerance to cold weather, dry skin, and sometimes decreased insulin requirements.
Symptoms of overactive thyroid include muscle weakness, weight loss, diarrhea, hair loss, intolerance to hot weather, jitteriness, and often increased insulin requirements.
