Question from Malaysia:

I am 11 years old and have diabetes. Can I still produce insulin after a few years?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

If you have type 1 diabetes, it is very unlikely that after several years you are still producing insulin, as any remaining ability to produce insulin would have gone by that stage. Hence the importance of keeping on top of your diabetes and making sure you always take your insulin.
