Question from Billerica, Massachusetts, USA:
How do you know where to puncture the finger using a lancet for a glucometer test?
Answer:
From: DTeam Staff
It is recommended to use the side of your finger for lancing, staying away from the nailbed but not going quite to the pad of the finger. If you are having problems getting a blood sample, talk to a diabetes educator, who should be available either as part of your diabetes team or at a nearby hospital.

Please go back to whomever you got your meter from and make sure you know how to use it properly.
