My son in 11; he was diagnosed about 9 months ago. When he was born, his immune system was suppressed. He received Gamma Globulin transfusions every 2-3 weeks until about 18 months of age. He has his IGG and IGA levels tested once a year. Could his diabetes be a direct result of the immune system disorder?

Without knowing a little more about the cause of your son’s hypogammaglobulinemia it is not possible to do more than say that it is very unlikely that this problem was related to his diabetes.
