Question from Kansas, USA:
I am allergic to corn products. Could you tell me what to use to replace confectioner’s sugar in recipes?
Answer:
From: DTeam Staff
Unfortunately, most sweeteners, including confectioner’s sugar, contain derivatives of corn for in order to obtain sweetness. I checked with the manufacturers of (sucralose), and even it contains maltodextrin (an additive made from corn sources). I would advise that you omit confectioner’s sugar from recipes due to the corn allergy.
