As I was looking through the questions and answers, I was almost shocked to see a question that could’ve almost been written by me. The difference is that I have type 1 diabetes, and I don’t normally have a lot of back pain (except lower back which I attribute to being so obese). Anyway, the question asked about right sided abdominal pain under the rib cage.

I too have been experiencing this for a few months (or longer). It’s not constant, and at times is much more severe than others. In your reply you mentioned that it could be the person’s disc causing the pain, but I’m not sure if you meant the back pain he/she questioned, the abdominal pain or both. If you don’t mind, would you please clarify that for me? Also, I had my gall bladder removed three years ago (the old fashioned way), and the pain is pretty much right under the scar so I’m wondering if it’s possible that the tissue just hasn’t healed completely yet and therefore possibly causing the pain.

I realize you can’t really diagnose pain, or reasons for it over the internet. I guess I’m mostly just wondering if either of these are possibilities.
