Question from Waldron, Arkansas, USA:
My four year old daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when she was 10 months old, and I have heard that some people change their eating habits and no longer need insulin injections. Is that true?

This is not true in people with true type 1A (autoimmune) diabetes because the beta cells are destroyed. Changing eating habits will not restore their ability to produce insulin.
However, for people with type 2 diabetes, this is occasionally possible — especially if they were overweight and sedentary, and lose weight and become more active.
