Insulin Pumps

advertisement
Question from the United Kingdom:

Can people in the UK get insulin pumps? You hear loads about people in the US having them but I’ve never been offered one here.

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

The National Institute for Clinical Excellence has just published its interim report on insulin pump therapy for England and Wales. It is broadly supportive of the establishment of pump programmes in the UK. However, the findings will be debated, and then there will be discussion about how they can be implemented. Don’t hold your breath, but things are about to get much better.
