My friend’s 10 year old son has diabetes. She keeps talking about “juvenile double jeopardy diabetes”. I an unable to find anything on this; is there such a disease? If so, what are the symptoms, and effects?

I’ve never heard of “juvenile double jeopardy diabetes. I suspect that is simply referring to type 1 diabetes in children.
