Can you please comment on the most cost-effective, environmentally friendly method of syringe/lancet disposal? The cost of mail back systems quickly adds up and coffee cans/thick containers are not a foolproof method (the top can get punctured, syringes/lancets spill out). The Disintegrator works great, but costs over $100 and I’m not sure how long the unit will last. The BD syringe clipper is cheap, but are the syringes/lancets safe to be thrown in the trash afterward?
