My sister was just diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. She has very high blood sugars and takes two shots of insulin a day. What is a way to keep her blood sugar normal besides her insulin?

The best way is to take her to the nearest pediatric diabetes team experienced in dealing with children who have type 1 diabetes. They should be able to instruct her how to start an intensified insulin regimen aimed at the best metabolic control.
