Diagnosis and Symptoms

Question from Derby, England:

Although my son eats regularly, he gets very agitated within a few hours of eating, is always hungry, and he seems weak and confused sometimes. I think he has hypoglycaemia.

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

It is difficult to know if these are symptoms of hypoglycaemia. They are not typical of diabetes. It is unusual for hypoglycaemia symptoms to occur after eating and so may be due to some other reason. It would be good to talk this over with his doctor or even your health visitor.
