Diagnosis and Symptoms

Question from Lansing, New York, USA:

I am having symptoms of diabetes, such as increased hunger, thirst, and urination. This is not the first time, but, before, they went away within a day or two so my parents and I weren’t really worried. The symptoms started again last night, but I am a little concerned because, as I said, it’s not the first time. At what point do you think going to the doctor is appropriate? What should I do for now?

If you are concerned about diabetes and you believe some of your symptoms might mean diabetes, then check it out with a doctor! You might also check if you have lost weight. Being hungry and thirsty, and even having increased urination once in awhile may not be diabetes, but it is wise to check it out. For now, drink plenty of sugar-free liquids and make that appointment.
