Question from Houston, Texas, USA:

What is the highest an A1c can be? if you get constant blood sugars above 20.0 mmol/L [360 mg/dl], will your A1c turn out that high?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

I really don’t know how high, but I have seen the occasional A1c over 18.0. Remember, we want it less than 8.0 in little kids and 7.0 in older kids.
