I guess it would to some degree because you are decreasing the average red blood cell survival time. This is important because this survival time relates to the duration of the time the red blood cells are exposed to glucose and how much glucose attaches. The issue would be how much blood donation is occurring. Once a month might be enough to affect the HbA1c.
