I was diagnosed at age five, so I really don’t know a life without diabetes. I try to look at it positively, as it creates much structure and makes me want to take care of myself and eat well. I race bicycles for T1D and this year put together of other T1Ds riders with our large Zwift facebook group and we raced the Tour of Georgia for Team Type 1 with our Zwift jerseys. It has its lows and highs, literally, but staying positive and strong makes the challenge rewarding. Love my diabetes community.
