Jennifer Park
From her mom, Laurie:
When my daughter Jenny was diagnosed with T1D at the age of 16, I thought that her life would never be good again, but… I was wrong! Diabetes management was very hard for the first few months, but eventually it became easier and better. Ten years after diagnosis, I am in awe of my daughter’s achievements, big and small, all while doing her best to manage her diabetes. I went on to write a book for parents of newly-diagnosed children called A NEW NORMAL: A T1D Mom Shares Facts, Tips & Advice About Type 1 Diabetes. We are both grateful for the medical advances since her diagnosis ten years ago and feel hopeful about the future for people with T1D.
