Leilah
From her mom, Shanna:
My daughter Leilah was diagnosed at age eight on June 12, 2014. She was already an amazing athlete and feared she wouldn’t be able to play sports as well as she did pre diagnosis with type 1 diabetes. We learned quickly that Leilah was a fighter and that she wasn’t going to allow anything to hold her back.
She is now 18. She managed to compete at high levels in Varsity Sports and Travel Softball for 10 years. She is now going to play softball in College. She is a voice for others living with diabetes and an advocate for type 1 as well. She wants to be a dietitian and work with athletes as an adult and continue her healing and healthy journey while living with type 1 diabetes. She is an overcomer! 10 years Stronger.

since 2014
