I was diagnosed two weeks after my second birthday. I don’t remembered a life not looking living with diabetes. I experienced my first session of burnout when I was 10yo, and around that time, thought that I would be dead by 25 from complications. Now, I’m 43 years old, married, and have two living children, without any serious complications. My diabetes isn’t always in excellent control, but I’m still healthy after loving with this disease for so long.
