My 32-year journey with diabetes has been a powerful teacher, shaping me into the compassionate and resilient person I am today. While initially filled with anger and frustration, this path has led me to a deep understanding of my body and its unique needs.
From the challenges of countless injections to the transformative experience of using an insulin pump, every step has provided invaluable wisdom and strength. Now, I find profound purpose in guiding fellow type 1 diabetics in the emergency department. It’s an honor to offer hope and inspiration during their most vulnerable moments, transforming their fear into empowerment. This journey, though arduous, has become a source of connection, empathy, and unwavering dedication to helping others navigate the complexities of this condition.
