I was diagnosed at 13 years old. I remember being sick most of my life before my diagnosis, passing out during class. Constantly getting sick and finally they ran an A1C on me and it was so high they were surprised I was still able to remain awake. The level my blood sugar was at was normally where people become comatose. As of today I now have three beautiful boys ranging from the ages of eight to two months. I remember at my diagnosis I thought it was the end of the world, but in reality it was just the beginning for me. I never thought I’d be able to have children but I do and I am so grateful.
