Receiving a CWD Journey Award is important to me because it has been a LONG 27 years of diabetes. Being diagnosed at such a young age to parents who barely even heard of T1D before–this I’ve seen and been through each milestone, obstacle, and life experience one person can have in their lifetime and am still surviving. Even when you’re told you won’t be able to do that, or you can’t do this. I’ve successfully done all those things. From being a young kid who just wanted a slice of cake at a friend’s birthday party, all the way to growing life of my own bringing a beautiful baby boy into the world all natural, is a crazy but beautiful thing. You CAN DO THIS I PROMISE! 🙂
