I have been a diabetic now for 40 years. Its amazing the journey I have been on. The strides in technology and ways to manage diabetes has been amazing. Though, when I was diagnosed in 1984, I was told there would be a cure in 15 years and we’re at 40, I do hope and pray the research and strides continue until there is a cure. It is so much easier to be a diabetic now than it was in 1984. Taking 2 minutes to do a blood sugar to continuous glucose monitoring. Having nutritional information on every food package has been a great improvement too. It is no longer a guessing game.
