In may of 2015 we took a family trip to the beach. I was so excited. My first time at the beach. Until it turned into my worst nightmare. I was slowly dying and never knew. A little girl who was so excited to see the ocean for the first time could barley even walk. On May 20, 2015 I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. My blood sugar was over 1000, and I was in the ICU for a week with my organs shutting down. Fast forward 10 years and I am loving a healthy lifestyle whiling still managing my type 1 diabetes.
