When I was first diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, I was completely unaware of what it entailed, especially since no one in my family had ever experienced it before. Over the course of 15 years, I have come to realize how this condition has shaped me into a stronger individual. While advancements in technology have been remarkable, I still hold onto hope for a definitive cure. My greatest wish is that my children and future generations will not have to endure the challenges of type 1 diabetes. Throughout this journey, I have been incredibly fortunate to have unwavering support from my husband and children. Their love and encouragement have been amazing. In times of struggle, I have found peace and strength by relying on God to guide me through the highs and lows of managing type 1 diabetes.
