Will receiving this ten year award is important to me because that means he is still here. From knowing nothing about T1D, to being able to help others from what we have learned, the past ten years have been full of ups and downs. As the years fly by, we see more ups than downs. Will is currently in college, with plans to go into nursing, possibly to help others with their journey, whatever their journey may be. And perhaps they could have more ups than downs.
